Working with you I will provide a customized program to train your hotel staff to understand how to communicate and serve across language and cultural differences. Lessons will be based on the vocabulary needed by staff so that they can both provide and sell the hotel’s services.

Menus, price lists, guest amenities and the hotel’s website and promotional material will provide the basis for the lesson plans.

Hotel Employee Training Process

Before training, evaluation will take place to determine language and customer service problem areas.

During training, classes will be provided on site and consist of role play using employee guest interaction.

After training, employees will be evaluated to ensure that the problem areas have been corrected.

Dr. Bonita Kolb Training Philosophy

I have always felt strongly that employment provides individuals with the opportunity to reach their full potential. While pursing my PhD in business, I designed language and employment training programs for newly arrived refugees.

My skill in teaching and designing programs with an international focus were further developed at the University of Westminster in London where I taught classes for tourism students.

Since then I have published several books on marketing strategy for tourism and taught and consulted with students and employees from many countries and cultures.

My interest in the hospitality industry and providing opportunities have now come together. I can provide the hotel English and guest relations training programs your employees and hotel need to be successful.
